For a short 7 km run,the favorites surged to the front immediately to lead, chased by hundreds who eventually fallen behind due to the scorching heat.It was a quite fast pace as the front runners were all equally potential runners. The KPAC top guns,Pacesetters' and some school district runners quickly occupied the top positions.
Our representatives,Vigneswaran and Jayakumar managed to win the first and third placing respectively.Surprisingly KPAC junior veteran runner,Siow Kek Keong grabbed the fifth placing. There was a dispute in the age grouping where the open categories comprised runners up to 49 years old.The olders are of course,no way can challenge the younger ones.

As for the women open category, favorites Ms Michelle Tan Bee Kiang bagged the first place easily leaving another fast runner,G.Susila 200m trailing behind. Her fantastic pace can easily outrun many male runners. Our sole representative in this category,Lim Pei Yin was way behind at 6th position. Many runners were unaware of check points and were caught cheating through many short cuts in this residential area and they were disqualified immediately after the race.
