YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, our beloved prime minister arrived at the Dataran Merdeka at 7.20 am.He shake hands with participants at the front line and those at the back rushed forward to catch a glimpse of our nation leader.
Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was accompanied by Dato Dr Ng Yen Yen during the meeting session with runners
The race was officially gunned off at 7.30am by our PM after a short speech by Dato Dr Ng.It was another usual run but this morning's was a hot and humid one. There were two water stations compared to usually one stationed at 5 km mark.
Thousands of participants took part in various categories and the organiser did a very good job to make sure the race was smooth.Police traffic were placed at all junctions to make sure motorists did not trespass into the running path.

I was told a total of 110 KPAC members signed up for the Adidas King Of The Road (KOTR) run last Sunday(12/08/2008) at Dataran Alam Sentral,Shah Alam. Our president reported that the response was overwhelming as thousands turned up.Consequently, there were some misunderstandings here and there especially the water stations where all categories coincided leaving no water for the half marathoners.Read more here about the race and here too.
And here are the results, see how the KPAC members fared.
